Mammals
The study of mammals is a relatively recent development in natural history and this is reflected in the mammal list which looks like a collection of colloquial statements rather than a proper survey plus reptiles and amphibians.
Searchlight
Many members of the Society were obviously serving in the Home Guard in the Second World War and found another use for a searchlight!
